Summary
In Chapter 7, everyone reflected on Jiang’s story. “Cameron gave them a terse update on the situation” (88). Jiang told of the time that her husband almost died of an illness until she told him she loved him. “Don’t die, don’t die, I shouted. I love you” (89). “His eyes cleared for a moment,” and “in a week he was better” (89).
Lily volunteered to go next, but Cameron told her “We’ll need your story more after a while” (90). Then Mr. Pritchett announced “I would like to go now” (91).
