Summary
On board the spaceship, Spatio-Temporal Agent Laureline is at the helm with Jadna, a historian who is a large part of this mission. Laureline says she is not accustomed to something, but Jadna cuts her off with a comment about “sentimentalism” and “male supremacy” (11). Jadna instructs Laureline to get another Valerian clone ready for the next phase. Jadna says they are on track and making good time, and she warns Laureline against letting emotion get in the way of her job. Aloud, Laureline agrees, but she refers to Jadna as a “stupid cow” in her thoughts.
