Summary

The opening page of graphics has four panels. The first frame shows a line of military men on soldiers in the distance. The next two frames show the soldiers coming nearer. The final frame of the page shows a man saying that the “artillery is ready” (3). On the next page, one man soldier calls for the others to fight in the name of the “East India Trading Company” (4). In the remaining panels of the page, the men advance on a fort. The battle rages on the next page and the readers who know the characters will see a man who looks like Valerian. He is later identified as one of Valerian's clones created for this mission.
