Crosby, Maine

Crosby is a fictional small town on the coast of Maine. It is the setting of nearly all chapters of Olive, Again. The majority of the characters of the novel were born and raised in Crosby, or moved from nearby towns.

Shirley Falls

Shirley Falls is a small, fictional, town about an hour away from Crosby. Olive's first husband, Henry, grew up here. In recent years, a large number of Somali immigrants have moved to Shirley Falls, creating some tension in the predominantly white community.
