Chapters 21 and 22 Summary

Chapter 21

Emma tries to talk Rayna into swimming with her but Rayna at first refuses. But Rayna gives in when Emma tells her she'll teach her how to drive Galen's if she swims with her. Emma drives Galen's car to an abandoned area and changes places with Rayna. Rayna floors the accelerator and they go speeding off. Emma yells for her to step on the brake. They come to a neck-breaking stop. They start laughing and can hardly stop. After recovering, Rayna tries again and starts out slow. But Rayna doesn't like slow and steps on it again and runs into a tree. Rayna fights the airbags like it's a sea creature. Emma knows they're sunk when she sees blue flashing lights behind them.
