Chapter 13

After a swim, Emma and Galen sit on the beach. She asks him why she can't change into her non-human form. He thinks she needs to relax and then it will happen naturally. Galen is going to stay in school but he's missed so much school that he'll probably fail everything. Emma suggests that since he's helping her learn how to change, she could help him with his schoolwork. They are about to kiss when Toraf and Rayna are walking toward them. Galen can't go to school the next day because he has to check in with his family. The Royal twins missed Grom's kingship ceremony. Galen promises Emma that he'll be back in a few days. Maybe they could visit Dr. Milligan. He might be able to help them. Galen warns Emma not to get in the water until...
