Summary
In Chapter 12, Leah meets her mother to go shopping. On their way to the stores, they run into an addict begging on the street. He is selling a Tube fare card. Pauline, who has forgotten her card, starts to negotiate the sale with him. The man turns out to be a guy who attended school with Leah, named Nathan Bogle. Leah recalls that she had a crush on him when they were growing up.
In Chapter 13, Michel is on the computer online trading with Leah's inheritance. Leah wants to get on the Internet, but Michel tells her to wait until he is done. While Leah waits, she smokes three cigarettes. She overhears one of the neighbors yelling at her children. Then, Leah sees Colin Hanwell, her dead father, appear near her house. When he approaches, they talk about her dog Olive, and Leah's happiness...
