Jimmy Han
Jimmy Han is a man of about forty years in age. He was born in China, but he and his family immigrated to the United States when he was very young. When Jimmy was about 20 years old, he began working as a cook at a restaurant called Koi. Jimmy enjoyed the work immensely, but he was fired after the head chef discovered that he had become addicted to cocaine. Jimmy has struggled with drug addiction and alcoholism since then, but his family has helped him by sending him to rehabilitation. At the beginning of the narrative, he is operating his family’s restaurant, the Beijing Duck House, which was founded by Jimmy’s now deceased father Bobby. Jimmy dislikes the Duck House and aspires to open his own restaurant, the Beijing Glory, which he plans to be more high-end.
