Eiji's Cap

The cap Eiji wears is the last birthday gift he received from Anju. While no description is given of it, it must be in pretty bad shape by the time he comes to Tokyo. Ai offers to buy him a new one, and this is how she comes to find out about Anju. Also, it is because Eiji forgets the cap at the arcade that he meets up with Yuzu Daimon and ends up at the Queen of Spades.

Subaru's Journal

Subaru Tsukiyama kept a journal of his experiences training in the Japanese military, and it was later given to his brother, Eiji's paternal grandfather, for whom it became a prized possession. Eiji inherits it in turn, when his grandfather dies after lending in to him. Reading it, Eiji connects with his previously unknown past, and begins to think about the meaning of his life and...
