Summary
Chapter Fifty-Three is narrated by Arable. She feels unfulfilled by Guy's death, as he will never know what a truly terrible person he was. Robin then continues to kills Guardsmen that have fled, with Arable realizing a bloodlust had gripped him. Robin finally stops, after accidentally killing a villager who had come to help them. Arable hears him whisper that he saw red but her emotions were closed off and she feels nothing. She cannot believe that William would allow the forest to burn but Robin says she only knew him at his best. The outlaws regroup and Arable tells them not to rely on Prince John, as he is only using them for his own gain. Will suggests she help them get inside the castle instead and while she hates him for killing Roger, this group of people did not...
