Summary
Released from Lamar Rehabilitation Center in Massachusetts, Vic goes home to see her mother before she passes away. Linda wants to go to the lake like they used to. When Lou calls suggesting Vic and Wayne spend the summer together, she decides to rent a place. She finds one with a carriage house she can use as a studio and a ramp for her mother's wheelchair. However, before they can go, Linda dies. Wayne and his dog Hooper arrive, and Vic wastes no time leaving her mother's house for the house she rented in Lake Winnipesaukee. In the carriage house, Wayne finds an old Triumph. The next day, when Wayne heads to day camp, Vic begins working on her new book and the old Triumph.
