Friday, pgs. 297-334 Summary
Sully shows Peter the house his father owned. Sully owes back taxes on the property that he has never paid. He tells Peter that he could pay the back taxes and sell the property. Peter does not have any money and wants to work with Sully during his semester break. Sully then drives Peter to Vera's house. They put the snow blower in Ralph's garage. Sully tells Peter to take the El Camino back to West Virginia with him.
When Peter drives Sully home, they find the dead deer in the snow with a note from the police department not to remove it. Sully knows he has problems which will be worse in the morning, but he figures he will somehow work it out.
The economic picture for the village is not looking as good as they had hoped...
