Wednesday, pp. 36-73 Summary

Sully discusses his knee condition with Cass and Rub. His request for total disability was denied. The judge told Sully to register at the college for the next term. Cass offers him a job at the restaurant. Sully does not think it is a good idea and leaves to shovel the snow at Miss Beryl's house.

Sully does not want to work for Carl Roebuck again but goes to his office where the secretary Ruby says that Carl does not want to see him. Then Carl calls out that he has a job for Sully. Sully wants the money that Carl owes him and Carl claims he will not pay for shoddy work. Sully is sent to pick up cement blocks that were delivered to the wrong location. He decides to work alone to see how his knee hold...
