Summary
Author Rachel Snyder arrives at the home of Paul Monson, who was initially reluctant to talk to her. In his home, Paul talks to Rachel about cars, which transitions into a discussion about his daughter's vehicles, including his daughter Michelle's and her husband Rocky's. In November 2001, Rocky Mosure bought a gun and killed his twenty-three-year-old wife Michelle and their two young children, Kristy and Kyle, before killing himself.
Snyder had arrived at Paul's story circuitously. She previously worked abroad as a journalist covering all types of very difficult topics before returning home to the United States where a chance encounter piqued her interest in the subject of domestic violence.
