Summary

Chapter 9, Masha, is written from Masha’s perspective. Masha, who established Tranquillum House after her heart attack, looks at the files of the nine guest she will be treating and analyzing. She also thinks about her ex-husband who has emailed her. She thinks that she can help all of her guests, but worries about the family.

Chapter 10, Heather, is written from Heather’s perspective. Heather thinks about how she and her family had gotten there and what they really needed. She worries about Zoe who is alone. She thinks that her husband will follow the rules. She feels rage towards him. While they wait for Zoe to come to their room before dinner, Napoleon joins her on the bed and quietly comforts her. He takes her hands and she responds in a positive manner.
