Summary
Chapter 4 – Nimona returns home. Ballister tells her she was reckless, nearly got them killed, and killed many other people in the explosion. Nimona argues that villains kill people sometimes. Ballister counters that killing solves nothing, that if killing must be done, it must be done for a very good reason, and the killer must be prepared to accept responsibility. Killing cannot be done just because. Ballister tells Nimona she can help plan their next move if she shows a little more restraint. She agrees. Ballister tells her he is impressed by her shapeshifting abilities. She explains that when she was six, her village was targeted by raiders.
