Nightbitch

Nightbitch's Nightbitch identity is symbolic of her innately ferocious female spirit. When the mother first starts transforming into Nightbitch, she is unnerved by her new attributes and impulses. With time, she becomes incapable of acting on these urges. The more doglike she becomes, the more free and happy she becomes. Nightbitch is ultimately an expression of her quashed feminine rage and power.

Emails

Nightbitch's emails to Wanda White are a symbol of longing. Nightbitch starts writing to White because she longs for someone who can validate her recent physical and psychological experiences. The emails grant Nightbitch a space in which she can express her true feelings and desires. She later reconciles herself with White's unresponsive by categorizing her letters as communications with the divine.

WereMothers
