The Chosen: Chapters 1-6 Summary

In Chapter 1, Rashel is at her fifth birthday party, which is taking place at a carnival. Rashel is climbing in the tubes provided for the kids to climb with her friend Timmy, whom her mother has instructed her to watch closely. However, Rashel wants to go higher and Timmy is afraid, so she instructs him to stay put. When Rashel is nearly to the top of the ropes, she looks down and finds Timmy gone. Rashel goes in search of him and eventually finds him in a tent where a red haired man is biting his neck.

In Chapter 2, Rashel screams, drawing her mother's attention. The red haired man pulls Rashel back into the tent, but then her mother arrives. The man slaps Rashel's mother so hard that he breaks her neck. Rashel runs back into the...
