ConaLee's mirror is symbolic of grounding. She carries the handheld mirror with her almost at all times. It becomes her talisman and grants her a sense of balance whenever she feels uncertain or afraid.
Dearbhla
Dearbhla's character is symbolic of spirituality. As a healer and seer, Dearbhla connects characters like ConaLee, Eliza, and O'Shea to the spiritual world. She particularly helps ConaLee to look at the world in a more complex manner, and thus gives her the emotional tools to transcend her pain and suffering.
