Point of View

The novel is written from both the first and the third person points of view. All of the chapters marked with ConaLee’s name are written from ConaLee’s first person perspective. All of the chapters marked with Eliza’s, Dearbhla’s, Sharpshooter’s, O’Shea’s, Weed’s, or Dr. Story’s names are written from the third person perspective. In these latter chapters, the third person narrator is limited to each respective character’s vantage point. This means that in those chapters labeled with Dearbhla’s name, for example, the narrator’s access is limited to Dearbhla’s perception of the world. The same principle applies to the other characters’ sections, too.
