Summary
Manfred and Teacher go to Killeen in Chapter 6. On the way, Teacher asks Manfred questions about his family and Manfred asks Teacher the same type questions, but Teacher does seem to want to answer them. Manfred drops him off at the shop where Teacher says he wants to go to buy some tools and then goes to see Agnes Orta, his lawyer's mother, to give her a reading. She is excited when he arrives and asks whether a friend of hers can come as well. When her friend arrives, Manfred realizes that she is younger, but she is dying and Agnes does not know. Through Manfred, Agnes' friend's brother talks to her to console her and then through Manfred, Agnes finds a ring she has been looking for. Manfred's grandmother also appears and warns him about the crossroad. Later that evening, his lawyer...
