Part V, Chapter 64-86 Summary
Heidi, with her leg in a cast, watches the ground as the plane takes off from the Quebec airport. She looks up and finds Brian Shaw talking to her. He tells her that he wants her and Pitt to know that he wasn't responsible for the explosives. It was Foss Gly. He also tells her that he has a message from his government for the Americans. He tells her to tell Alan Mercier that the British won't give up a part of their empire and will mount a military defense if they have to.
Pitt takes a salvaged piece of the bridge for chemical analysis and finds that the bridge was blown. He also discovers that there was two million in gold coins on the train that night and that Massey was trying to rob the train...
