Summary
Fellis and Dee drive together on a foggy morning. They are headed to see someone named Daryl, whose uncle runs the tribal museum; they are hoping to get the security code from Daryl. Dee is concerned that Fellis will do something bad to Daryl. Daryl is banned from the reservation, so he is staying an hour north in a family cabin. When they arrive at the cabin, two gutted deer are hanging outside. They knock on the door and circle the cabin, but cannot find Daryl. They are about to give up when Daryl exits the cabin’s outhouse. Fellis startles Daryl, who is wearing earbuds, and it takes him a moment to recognize Fellis and Dee.
