Summary
Frick, Mom, and David sit at the kitchen table. Frick recounts that when he was a child he and his friends would watch white children cross the river and shoot pellet guns at them. David gets up to leave and Mom tells him to check the mail for money from Dad. Frick wipes his hands on his jeans and Mom snaps at him, as she has been doing since Paige went to rehab. David leaves and meets his friend Tyson while smoking a cigarette. Tyson asks where JP is and then says he does not want to ruin his shoes.
