Summary
Dee sits on a bench outside the crisis stabilization unit and watches an exterminator do his work. Mom, Dee’s mother, comes outside and hands Dee some coffee. Mom asks Dee about his sister and he asks if she needs more meds. She tells Dee she has been awake for three days. Dee jokes that he is a hallucination. Mom has no bottom teeth. They laugh, and then Mom says she wants to go inside because she is cold. Dee notices an older man that he vaguely recognizes from his last visit and a woman who asked him for cigarettes earlier watching The Maury Show.
Mom misremembers the movie Grownups as being called Adults, and Dee does not correct her. He also does not tell her about Tabitha leaving him or about the fact that he has finally found work as a UPS...
