Chapter 49 Summary

John gets up the next morning at 6:45 a.m. The date is Monday, September 10. He walks into the living room area, where Jill is sitting in a robe drinking coffee. Jill and John eat breakfast together, and then Jill goes out for a walk. John tells her to get him some toothpaste and to look for a copy of A Man and a Woman if she can find it. Jill leaves. John calls Dom Fanelli, and Dom tells him that he has everything set up for picking up Kate at the airport. Dom promises to call John when he has Kate in the car and is heading to the Plaza.
