Chapter 41 Summary

Nash tells John that the couple had sex on the beach that night and videotaped the crash. Nash has talked to the couple about what happened that night. He tells John that as the couple was having sex, they did not notice anything in the sky. He contends that by the time they heard the explosion, the airport had already partially disintegrated, and the nose section had already fallen into the ocean. Nash tells John that the couple thought they saw a streak of light moving up towards the aircraft when they were really seeing the main fuselage rising. Nash explains that the couple ran back to the dune, got dressed quickly, grabbed the tripod and camera and headed back to the hotel.
