Chapter 30 Summary
John goes to Jack Koenig's office. Koenig says that he knows that John has been snooping around in the TWA crash. Koenig declares that he is not to get involved in the case and then briefs John on his mission in Yemen, which is to investigate the USS Cole bombing. Koenig then asks John what he was doing the day before. John tells Koenig he went to the beach. When Koenig asks John why his cell phone and beeper were turned off, John replies that he needed a "mental health day." Koenig tells John not to turn off his beeper again. Koenig then asks John if he has learned anything new about the TWA crash, and John responds that Koenig would be the first to know if he did. Koenig tells John that there is nothing to the rumor about a videotape.
