Chapter 18 Summary

John walks Kate back to 26 Federal Plaza and tells her that he needs to make some more phone calls. They say goodbye. John goes to a pay phone and calls his former partner Dom Fanelli. He tells Fanelli that he needs to track down Marie Gubitosi Lentini. Fanelli tells John that Marie is no longer at the task force. She's now married with children and living in Staten Island, and Fanelli gives John her telephone number. John calls Marie and tells her he wants to talk to her. Marie tells him to come on over to Staten Island and to buy some diapers for her on the way. John hails a cab, which takes him to the Staten Island ferry, and John gets on the ferry.
