Chapter 16 Summary
Dick Kearns comes to the restaurant. John tells him that he wants information about the crash. Kearns warns John to leave it alone, explaining to him that all of the various agencies who were involved in the investigation were all mad at each other and shifting blame. Dick tells John that he really does believe that the cause of the crash was an electrical malfunction and not a terrorist attack, but he thinks that John should still stay out of it because careers have been ruined over the investigation. John tells Kearns he "needs a name," meaning someone who knows something about the investigation. Kearns gives him the name of Marie Gubitosi, a former task force agent.
