Chapter 10 Summary
John and Kate walk through the reconstructed fuselage as they talk about the various eyewitness accounts of a flame rising from the ocean just before the explosion. Kate explains that the CIA has made a movie reenacting the explosion and that the CIA believes that instead of seeing a rising flame, the eyewitnesses instead saw the burning fuselage descending. John asks Kate about the couple that may have videotaped the explosion and the hotel where they stayed. Kate explains that she was not involved in investigating the hotel. When she did some investigating of her own, she was quickly shut down. John and Kate agree to go forward with the investigation, and they start heading back towards their apartment in Manhattan.
