Chapters 52-56 Summary
Rick Diehl's lawyers tell him that he owns the Burnet cell line, therefore he has a right to take it from any source. Since Frank Burnet's children and grandchildren have the same cells, they technically are in possession of stolen property and Rick can retrieve this property any way necessary. The lawyer advises Rick to hire a bounty hunter to have the cells forcibly taken from either Alex Burnet or her son, Jamie. Vasco Borden is the bounty hunter Rick hires. Vasco arranges for his assistant, Dolly, to go to Jamie's school and tell the teacher that Alex has sent them to take Jamie to the doctor. Once they have the kid, Vasco has a doctor who will do the procedures in the back of an ambulance.
