Summary
Chapter 22 begins with Marisol questioning everything. Magda’s uncovering of the truth makes Marisol wonder if she knew her grandmother at all. The man that she thought of as her grandfather wasn’t really her biological relative at all. Her father’s father was a revolutionary, who supposedly died fighting for what her family has vehemently denounced.
Luis drives her back to Havana, and on the way, the two plan to go out that night on a date. They have rushed into other things before properly going out together, and Luis suggests dancing. Both of their grandmothers taught them how to dance, and it seems like a perfect step to take.
After arriving back in Miramar, Marisol and Luis enter the Rodriguez house where Ana greets them. Still processing the revelations of the day, Marisol simply says that it was a good trip...
