The cleaning pipe rabbit first created by Eddie symbolizes the invisible connections that are made in life. When Paulo brings it out at their wedding, Annie and him are unaware of the cosmic connections that are being made, and that Annie's life to that point is coming full circle. In a way, Annie has lived one life since the accident at Ruby Pier and this version comes to a close just after the wedding.
