Chapters 41-45 Summary
Stone meets with Frank Woodman. Stone shows Frank the letter he received and the two compare it to a letter that Woodman has in his files. The handwriting is similar enough to make them question who sent it. Woodman calls a handwriting analyst, who arrives at the office to look things over. Mr. Weaver tells Stone and Frank that there is an eighty percent chance that the same person wrote the letters, and details some minute differences between them. Weaver then asks Frank if he is sure Sasha wrote the letter in his file because he would have sworn the letter was written by a man.
Stone heads home and gets a call from Cary, who tells him she wants to see him. Stone can barely control himself, but hangs up. Cary does not show up.
