Chapters 16-20 Summary
In chapter sixteen, Stone goes over Sasha's financial records. Noticing a discrepancy, Stone heads to her lawyer's office and meets with Frank Woodman. Stone asks Woodman about a two million dollar difference in the accounting, and the lawyer tells Stone that he is only aware of it because Sasha had shown him a check that she was going to send to the Cayman Islands to invest with a friend.
Stone heads out and is surprised by a friend, Bill Eggers, who he went to law school with. Bill invites Stone for a drink when they are less busy to chew things over. Stone agrees, once things quiet down.
In chapter seventeen, Stone is happy to get an invitation to breakfast from Cary. The two talk, with Cary asking about Stone and his job. Stone explains again that he is a bit...
