Chapter 9, Third Wheel Summary

Bella is not paying much attention to time. Before she knows it, it is Valentine's day, and Jacob is handing her a box of conversational candies. She has been carefully planning out each moment of her day, filling it with busy details to avoid having too much alone time on her hands. She has gotten better at riding her motorcycle, which means her hallucinations of Edward are fewer. That weekend, Bella decides that she cannot avoid Mike any longer. But rather than inviting Mike to a movie alone, she tries to get a group outing to the movies.
