Albuquerque
Albuquerque, New Mexico is one of the speaker’s homes and a primary setting in several of the poems. While the speaker does not make clear exactly when and for how long she lived in the city, lines and titles of certain poems suggest she is originally from there and returned there after spending several years living in Trinidad.
