Summary
In Chapter 18, the group walked through the tombs and the dust-wife talked to the ghosts who remained in their coffins. One queen, who had been buried alive, warned them that the “thief-wheel” would get them. Suddenly, the thief-wheel sped toward them. The dust-wife stood in front of it and told the wheel that they were not grave robbers, but the wheel rolled over her and then collected Marra with its glue-like substance, and she passed out.
In Chapter 19, Marra woke up in the dark a full day later. She panicked and prayed, but she was terrified of dying alone in the tombs. Suddenly, she saw a light that belonged to the saint she had first seen in the goblin market. She followed the saint, who led her to the rest of her friends before fading away. Together they continued forward until they found...
