Part 4, Chapters 58 - 61 Summary

In Chapter 58, Dawit notices Jessica is breathing again, and starts to work on Kira. Meanwhile, Lou receives a call telling him the man in Room Two is a murderer and has kidnapped the woman and child. The police are on their way. Back in Room Two, Dawit strangles Kira.

In Chapter 59, Jessica wakes to sees Dawit standing over Kira, strangling her. Jessica is too weak to do anything. Then there are knocks on the door and men burst into the room. The men order David to get away from Kira. Jessica sees David doing something with his hand to Kira's arm, and hears him whispering phrases. One of the officers shoots David, knocking him away from Kira. It is when Jessica sees the syringe of blood that she realizes that David had killed Kira in order to save her...
