Summary
In Chapter 44, after the lunch break, Meyers only allowed one more witness because the snow was still coming down and he did not want people driving home in the dark. Dan called Rosa next. She testified that earrings and a necklace had been found in the grave. Based on their location, Rosa believed that Sarah had been wearing the jewelry when she was buried.
When Clark cross-examined Rosa he suggested perhaps Tracy had another pair of earrings with her. Rosa indicated she had no way to know that information.
The chapter closes with Dan telling Meyers that he would begin the next day’s testimony with Tracy.
