Summary

In Chapter 25, a week after Sarah’s funeral, Dan and Tracy visited Edmund at Walla Walla State Penitentiary. Tracy knew that in order to get Edmund a new trial, they would first have to have a post-conviction relief hearing. Edmund would have to cooperate with Dan and Tracy to get that hearing.

During Tracy and Dan’s visit with Edmund, Edmund told Dan he had already been in prison for six years. So, he would not have messed up by leaving evidence in such an obvious place. He assumed when Sarah’s body was found, evidence had been found that proved he had been framed. Edmund told Dan he believed Calloway had framed him because he was seen as a “monster” (132) who “made people uncomfortable” (132).
