Summary
In Chapter 32, Che asks his father what he thinks they should do about Rosa. His father says there is nothing they can do but try to contain her. He seems surprised when he learns that Che has been recording his conversations with Rosa. David agrees that if a psychiatrist were to hear the recordings he would recognize what Rosa is but he asks Che what would happen then. He believes it is too late for Rosa to be taught empathy based on the way she has reacted with other doctors who try to change her behavior. David suggests to Che that by pretending to be normal, that normality can eventually become real for Rosa. David says he modeled himself on Sally but still fights his rage.
