Chapters 18-23 Summary

In Chapter 18, on the morning of the talent show, Jamie and Jas sneak out of the house early and drive to Manchester with Luke. Jas almost chickens out several times, but Jamie keeps her there by telling her that seeing them on stage will get their parents back together. However, Jas knows that their mother has abandoned them.

In Chapter 19, Jas changes her mind at the last second and agrees to go on stage with Jamie. They go on and are too afraid to speak or sing. However, Jas becomes courageous and they begin to sing. The judges make them stop and ask for Jas to sing alone. When she does, the judges offer for Jas to come back to the second round if she will come without Jamie. Jas refuses. Afterwards, Jas and Jamie discover that both of their parents...
