Author Ellen DeGeneres' is a stand-up comedian and television personality. She has written the book, "My Point...and I Do Have One," in the first-person narrative. Ellen is the only person who could have written this book since it is comprised of a series of off-the-wall thoughts and logic that Ellen is famous for. For example, when she feels that she is in need of a hobby, she decides to enter the Iditarod. It does not occur to her that practicing for the race with her two pet dogs in Southern California in 87-degree weather on a concrete street is not the optimal way to prepare for the race.
