Structure
My Own Words is divided in five parts: Part One: "Early Years and Lighter Side," Part Two: "Tributes to Waypavers and Pathmarkers," Part Three: "On Gender Equality: Women and the Law," Part Four: "A Judge Becomes a Justice," and Part Five: "The Justice on Judging and Justice." The authors then divide each of these overarching sections into a series of shorter titled and numbered chapters. This neat structural framework grants the reader a navigational tool for studying and digesting Ginsburg's adolescent, academic, and vocational writings.
