In Part Five: "The Justice on Judging and Justice," the authors present a selection of Ginsburg's "speeches, lectures, and articles on the nature of the Court...the job of the Justices, and the standards they do, or in her view should, observe" (193).
Chapter 1, "Workways of the Supreme Court," presents Ginsburg's lecture on Supreme Court procedures. She describes the process of granting reviews, the days in which Justices argue the chosen cases, and the two-week process of reaching decisions. Though not all cases are chosen, they are given due attention. Though Justices do not always agree on decisions, they remain respectful and congenial one towards another.
