Summary

Chapter 4, titled “Castle of Blood: Dark Hunger,” features Karen getting ready for and walking to school while describing her brother and certain experiences she has had with him. Karen remembers one day a few years ago when she came home from school early due to a lice outbreak. She walked in on Deeze having sex with an unknown woman. Deeze put his clothes on and told Karen not to tell Mama what she saw. Karen explicates on her relationship with Deeze, saying that he has always been a mentor and role model to her.
