Summary

In Part Four, Chapter 22, shortly after Seoha stopped emailing, Areum discovered that she "wasn't a sixteen-year-old girl at all, but a thirty-six-year-old man" (175). Areum emailed asking who she was, but received no response. He desperately tried to discover her real identity online without success. To distract himself, Areum "sank into the world of" LittleBigPlanet and its main character Sackboy (176).

Areum discovered that Seoha was a man through Seungchan. He had tried contacting Seoha about the show, only to learn that she was not a teenage girl but a man trying to write a story about two terminally ill teenagers. Areum had overheard Seungchan revealing the truth to his mother.

Areum found relief "inside LittleBigPlanet" (178). The object of the game "was to go forward, no matter what" (178). The doctor wanted him to stop playing because it was worsening his eyesight. Areum "threw tantrums like...
