Chapter 14 Summary
Alec Buchanan spends the weekend in Boston with his family. While he is there, he also interviews for a job with the FBI. They have been recruiting him for over a year now and say the job is his if he wants it, with a guarantee he will be based in Boston. His brothers, one a lawyer with the Justice Department and the other an FBI agent, try to convince him to take the job.
Alec returns home and gets a call from Gil Hutton, his ex-partner. Gil tells Alec that Lt. Lewis is planning to get even with Alec for standing up for the young officer who'd gotten in the way of the undercover bust. Gil says Lt. Lewis is going to block Alec's request for a transfer out of the unit. Alec replies he's not planning to request a transfer, but...
